Dhamma Path account resource

Delete your Dhamma Path account

You can request deletion from the app or by email if the app is no longer installed. Requests are verified and reviewed; deletion is not automatic or instant.

Last updated:

Option 1: Request in the app

  1. Open Dhamma Path and sign in.
  2. Open Profile.
  3. Select Delete Account and confirm the request.

The app places a pending request in the administrative deletion queue and signs you out. An authorized administrator reviews and executes the verified request.

Option 2: Request by email

You can use this method without installing or signing in to Dhamma Path. Send an email from the address associated with your account when possible.

Email an account deletion request

If the button does not open an email app, send your request to dhammapathai@gmail.com with the subject Dhamma Path Account Deletion Request.

Ownership verification and timing

We will use a safe follow-up appropriate to the account sign-in method to verify that you control the account. We may ask for limited non-secret information needed to locate the account. We do not execute an email request until ownership is verified. Verified requests are normally processed within 30 days after verification.

Data normally deleted

When an authorized administrator processes the request, the current workflow normally deletes:

Records that may be retained

We may retain a minimal completed deletion-request record and security or administrative audit record to prove and secure the deletion process. We may also retain support correspondence and records required by law. These records are restricted to the minimum reasonably needed for deletion proof, security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or legal obligations, and are kept only for the applicable operational or legal period. Aggregated or de-identified information that no longer identifies your account may also remain.

Local data on your device

Uninstalling Dhamma Path or clearing its storage removes local app preferences, caches, downloads, and selected status-personalization photos according to Android behavior. It does not by itself delete your server-side account. Conversely, server-side account deletion cannot remove files you separately exported or shared outside the app; remove those from the destination yourself.
